Integra releases IntegraNAS and IntegraSAN, a new Linux based NAS and SAN for Enterprises

Integra Technologies has released a new Linux kernel based NAS and SAN appliance software for Enterprises. The software can be installed on legacy hardware as well as servers and can utlise a wide variety of storage media.

Some advantages of the IntegraNAS and IntegraSAN is that it includes a built in virus scanner, which can scan for viruses on files that are saved to the device in real time. It logs the viruses and quarantines or deletes them. It even shows graphical reports on virus activity.

Complete audit logs are maintained, and reports show who has stored what, when and where in the scan. It shows you who has deleted files, renamed or done any activity on the NAS/SAN.

It is completely integrated with ActiveDirectory. Its gives you ability to undelete files, and take backup of files on to external or remote media. It also allows you to specify which kind of files can be saved on the NAS. Any filetypes excluded can be silently deleted, or a warning sent to the user that these files are not allowed. Quotas can be set and monitored.
